"Bro. Roy's Remarks"

God is so Good! We are so grateful for what He is doing in our church. We have had 10 professions of faith since this church year began. I believe there is a new since of excitement about the presence of God in our midst.

We are expecting great things from our revival (April 1-5). Bill Britt will be our evangelist and Phillip Willis will be leading our music. We will be setting up a tent on the property and will work hard to reach our city with the life changing message of the gospel.

I am praying for more people to be saved from this event than we have ever had from any other event. I am praying that God will prepare our hearts as a church. I am praying for an awareness of the presence of God to be evident both in the preparation and during the revival. I am asking that you join me in daily prayer for this revival.

As we approach this time, we will be teaching and preaching a lot on prayer. During prayer meeting on Wednesday nights we are using some prayer guides designed by John Franklin on how to have a dynamic prayer meeting. On Sunday nights I will be preaching on some of the prayers found in the Bible that God answered. We will also have special prayer meetings in the home of Jeri McCormick on Thursday evenings. We need you to join us in prayer and we need your commitment to help us prepare for what God is going to do in our midst.

There are a lot of exciting things happening in our church. Check the calendar and pray for God to use these things to grow His kingdom and bring glory to His name. Ask God what you can do to help.

A very big "Thank You!" to all who participated in our Christmas musicals. The Children's Choirs did a great job with the "Free Gift." Thanks to all the leaders and children! The Church Choir did a marvelous job with "Shine On Us!" Thank you for all the extra rehearsal time, for sharing the musical with The Arbor residents, for a special night of worship during the musical, and for leading us in worship all through December. "Thank You! Thank You! Thank You!"

January is a great time to join a choir. Our Church Choir rehearses each Wednesday at 8:00 p.m. and sings during the Sunday Morning Worship. All adults and youth are invited to sing with us. We need you! Come join us!

Our Preschool and Children's Choirs have begun their new semester. Their rehearsals are on Wednesday at 7:15 p.m. with the Mission Organizations starting at 6:15 p.m. All preschoolers and children are invited to join these groups.

We still have a few North Acres t-shirts available for a donation to our All-State Youth Choir Fund. T-shirts can be found in the foyer. Thanks for your support.

Two important reminders. First, the Church Council Calendar Planning Meeting will be this Saturday, Jan. 20 at 8:00 a.m. This is a major planning time for our church. Second, our next semester of FAITH Sunday School Evangelism Strategy begins Tuesday, February 6. The Lord continues to bless our church as we go out and share His love with others. Will you pray about your involvement in FAITH? Remember the Great Commission? Read Matthew 28:18-20
