This summer’s VBS took kids of all ages on an exciting VBS race that was a challenge like no other. The Kids were dashing through the streets of Tokyo, climbing Mt. Fuji, diving for pearls in the Sea of Japan, and speeding on bullet trains through valleys covered with rice fields and cherry blossoms. During this VBS race, trainers (a.k.a. leaders) guided racers (a.k.a. kids) through challenges along the rally course while striving to finish the race in record time. At stops along the route, contenders found that it takes more than good fortune or knowledge about kimonos and sushi to win this race. To obtain the real prize in this Far-out Far East Rickshaw Rally, kids needed to seek Jesus as Savior and Lord—and commit to follow Him throughout the course of their lives.
