CHILDREN'S MINISTRY

What do we have for the children in grades 1-6 ?

What do we have for the preschool children?

1. Sunday School: Theses classes provide a balanced approach to central Bible concepts, essential Bible skills, and foundational Bible stories for children. The children's classrooms are in “North Hall” in the Education Building. The preschool classrooms are on the main hall of the Main Auditorium Building. They start at 9:00 a.m. each Sunday.

2. Worship: Worship is Sunday at 10:15 a.m. and 6:30 p.m..

3. Discipleship: encourages kids to know Jesus Christ and grow in a relationship with Him.

4. AWANA:   Wednesdays during the school year (September - May) we now have the AWANA program for our preschoolers and children.
     AWANA is a children's club for ages three years old through sixth grade. It is a Bible based kids’ club designed to reach boys and girls with the Gospel of Christ and to train them to serve Him. It is a Bible memory program which seeks to instill character and Godly values in boys and girls. AWANA is designed as a partnership with parents and guardians to support them as the primary spiritual trainers of their children.
     The AWANA club meeting consists of three parts: Games, Achievement, and a Bible story time.
     The acronym AWANA comes from
"APPROVED WORKMAN ARE NOT ASHAMED" (2 Timothy 2:15).

     AWANAs meet September through May from 6:00 p.m. till 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. A meal is served at 5:30 p.m.

5. Music & Recreation: Besides the music and recreation in the AWANA program we have “Summer SonShine Kids” which is our time for all older preschoolers and children to enjoy summer fun. They learn a music and have fun recreation programs. This group meets June through August at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

6. VBS: Vacation Bible School is a special week each Summer spent in high energy activities for children. This includes worship, Bible study, music, missions, crafts, snacks, and recreation all tied together to teach kids about what God has done for us. This is a fantastic time held in June.

7. Special Events: These events includes our annual “Easter Eggstravangza,” “Fall Festival,” and “Birthday Party for Jesus.” These are fun times built around the holidays. Other events and trips are held throughout the year.
